HR Assistant Certification

As an Human Resource (HR) Assistant, you can play a pivotal role in attracting and retaining workforce talent for today's organizations. An HR Assistant role is an entry point into a career with a variety of focus areas and organizational impact, whether its recruiting and selection, training and development, employee relations, employment law, or health and safety, you'll be impacting the lives of workers and helping organizations thrive.

A certification as an HR Assistant will qualify you for opportunities that could jump start your career in a whole new direction.

To earn the certification:

  1. Take a series of six online knowledge units consisting of one or more modules. Click here for detailed descriptions of each unit.
  2. Commit four to six hours per week to completing the course and related assignments.
  3. Work with an instructor to address any questions and receive guidance on assignments. 
  4. Complete weekly professional practice exercises to prove your knowledge of the course content and your ability to apply what you learned in a work-related situation.

Upon successful completion, you'll earn: 

  1. A certificate recognizing the achievement in the field.
  2. One prior learning assessment credit. The credit may be used towards obtaining a bachelor’s degree at University of Phoenix upon review.
  3. A dedicated career coach to identify HR Assistant roles available and actively promote you to employers.


This is a voluntary program available at no cost to qualifying Manpower associates. Time spent in connection with this voluntary program is not work time and will not be paid. There is no guarantee of employment in an HR Assistant position upon completion of the program. If you are currently in an HR Assistant or similar position you are not eligible for this specific program.
