    Manpower is currently looking for a Administrative Assistant for a local Christian Church in Bellingham.

    Hours: Monday -Thursday 8:45am - 5:00pm (29 hours) off on Fridays
    Pay: $17.00-$18.00 per hour DOE

    This position serves the body of the Church by providing phone and personal receptionist duties (primary focus) and administrative support to the Executive Assistant (secondary focus).

    General Office Support
    * Operate and provide general maintenance and support of office equipment
    * Order and stock office and staff kitchen supplies
    * Manage the facility key database
    * Distribute daily mail for staff, sign for/accept deliveries, maintain staff mailboxes
    * Prepare the monthly birthday and anniversary cards
    * Distribute prayer requests received via prayer hotline, text and email
    * Maintain the church lobby area and staff kitchen

    Knowledge / Skills / Attributes
    * 1-2 years experience of receptionist/administrative support experience
    * Working knowledge of Word and Excel (ProPresenter a plus)
    * Excellent written and conversational communication skills
    * Excellent organization and time management skills. Must be able to multi-task,
    prioritize effectively and remain flexible in an ever-changing environment
    * Ability to handle multiple interruptions while maintaining warmth, grace and a
    professional demeanor
    * Ability to maintain confidentiality of information

    Key Role and Responsibilities
    * Be the friendly voice and face of the Church by managing a multi-line
    telephone system and receiving visitors, vendors, delivery personnel etc.
    * As the "primary gatekeeper", the ability to effectively screen and direct calls to
    appropriate staff is essential
    * Maintain a thorough awareness of events at church and be prepared to
    interface with all who visit the Church
    * Support Executive Assistant as needed in miscellaneous weekly tasks and
    assigned project-based work
    * Prepare the "Church Happenings" for weekend distribution (layout, print, cut)
    * Point person for outside facility requests
    * Develop and train a reception volunteer tea

    POSITION SUMMARY

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to the coordination of Sea Export shipments such as, opening export files, production of internal documentation, updating export statuses, assisting and advising customers of Arrival, arranging deliveries, processing invoices (including price conversions and verifying shipment weight and volume), dealing with e-mail queries from internal Overseas offices as well as ensuring that excellent standard of data accuracy

    DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

    Operational duties to include coordination with shippers, truckers, steamship lines and offices for the export of shipments.
    The complete process of shipment includes arranging for pick-up or inland transportation, booking, document preparation (bill of lading, invoicing, certificate of origin, export declaration and/or AES, if applicable) forwarding, follow-up with tracking and tracing to final destination and data quality requirement.
    Customer Service responsibilities include maintaining communication with vendor, shipper, customer, carrier and overseas offices throughout the process and choosing proper routing appropriate to the customer's needs.
    Negotiate cost-effective rates with service providers to ensure maximum profitability.
    Maintain SOP (standard operating procedures) and customer profiles including key contacts, special requirements, contract rates and preferred routings/services/carriers.
    Participate in quotes for overseas offices as requested.
    Review information published on Intranet system daily.
    Immediately report problems, operation disputes or discrepancies to a supervisor, manager, divisional manager or branch manager.
    Read and work in accordance with Quality Management Work Instructions and QHSE procedures (ISO9001).
    Employees may also have additional responsibilities in accordance with supporting a specific department(s)/division(s) and/or be tasked with specific, individualized assignments.
    Resolve issues respective to meeting client requirements, data input - general customer service inquiries related to tracking & tracing.
    Resolve billing discrepancies and discrepancies against client SOP's.

    Manpower is currently looking for a Administrative Assistant for a local Christian Church in Bellingham.

    This will be a part-time position M-Th 8:45 - 5:00 (29 hours) off on Fridays
    Pay is weekly and will be between $17.00-$18.00 per hour depending on experience

    POSITION SUMMARY:
    This position serves the body of the Church by providing phone and personal receptionist duties (primary focus) and administrative support to the Executive Assistant (secondary focus).

    General Office Support:
    * Operate and provide general maintenance and support of office equipment
    * Order and stock office and staff kitchen supplies
    * Manage the facility key database
    * Distribute daily mail for staff, sign for/accept deliveries, maintain staff mailboxes
    * Prepare the monthly birthday and anniversary cards
    * Distribute prayer requests received via prayer hotline, text and email
    * Maintain the church lobby area and staff kitchen

    Knowledge / Skills / Attributes:
    * 1-2 years experience of receptionist/administrative support experience
