Job Title: Archive Technician 3-4-month project
Location: Arlington, VA
Pay Range: $26 - $28 per hour
What’s the Job?
Convert archival materials to digital forms for improved access.
Duties and Responsibilities:Assists with the acquisition of new materials by receiving, cataloging, and accessioning archival collections into the repository’s holdings.
Organizes and describes archival materials according to established archival principles and standards.
Provides records management support including appraisal, retention scheduling, and disposition of records.
What’s Needed?
Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent experience. Experience with archival processing, including arrangement, description, and cataloguing using archival descriptive standards. Experience with digitization processes, including scanning equipment, image editing software, and metadata creation.
