    ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

    Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and calibration.
    Troubleshoot Flow instruments.
    Operate test equipment including voltmeters, ohmmeters, current meters, etc.
    Read and interpret schematics and mechanical drawings.
    Solder and unsolder components, if needed.
    Use basic small hand tools and small power tools.
    Inspect, test and clean all finished instruments prior to shipment.
    Maintains all work related equipment and test fixtures.
    Regular and predictable attendance and adherence to schedule.
    Routine building, repairing, calibrating and modifying electrical componenets, circuitry, controls, and machinery. Work may be performed before, during or after processing. May require some formal training. Work does not require in-depth analysis, process development or product re-engineering. See professional description below for comparison.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

    High School Diploma or G.E.D required; Associates Degree in Electronics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience and/or training preferred.
    Two or more years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in troubleshooting
    Knowledge at component level electronic circuitry evaluation.
    Some knowledge of mass flow preferred.
    Must be familiar with mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies.
    Must be able to read and comprehend schematics and mechanical drawings.
    Must be able to use communication software and equipment to include email, multi-line phone and fax machine.
    Strong reading and writing skills.
    Computer skills: open/close documents; research information, enter data, prepare reports.
    Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite.
    Quality control experience desired.
    Experience in ISO 9001 environment, preferred.

    What is the job?

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
    1. Performs visual inspections to identify cosmetic and functional defects.
    2. Operates and monitors automated production equipment in accordance with game plan.
    3. Monitors machine output to ensure production is within defined operation standards.
    4. Performs general go/no go dimensional inspections utilizing inspection tools.
    5. Identifies material defects and communicates the information to the appropriate individuals.
    6. Enters inspection, quality, and parts delivery data into CALI and/or SAM.
    7. Reads game plan and Kanban cards to determine what model is being run, what parts are needed for the production line, and what parts to load.
    8. Identifies and understands all part functions.
    9. Delivers parts and ink barrels from the mini warehouse to the production line, recycles materials from the production line, and applies glycerin application to defined parts.
    10. Loads parts on to the line and feeder bowls.
    11. Provides back-up support to other Operators.
    12. Maintains clean work area and follows all safety procedures.

    EDUCATION, TRAINING & SKILLS:
    1. High school diploma/GED, or equivalent education and experience.
    2. General inspection/assembly/production experience preferred.
    3. Ability to perform four-function math.
    4. Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
    5. Good manual dexterity and visual acuity.
    6. Basic computer skills, including data entry.
    7. Ability to understand and interpret work instructions and inspection documentation.
    8. Ability to maintain high production volumes.
    9. Ability to make basic quality judgments.
    10. Good teamwork skills and attention to detail.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS:
    1. Extended periods of standing and walking.
    2. Use of materials listed in department's Safety Data Sheet Book.
    3. Lifting of up to 50 pounds.
