* Develop project scopes for small capital projects.
* Specify new process equipment including updating/revising equipment specification sheets. Work with equipment vendors and operations to aide in selection.
* Perform data and statistical analysis to make sound processing decisions.
* Provide relief coverage for supervision in production units.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
* BS degree in Chemical Engineering
* 2 - 5 years of relevant experience, preferably 5+

Skills include troubleshooting motors, pumps, compressors, and gearboxes utilizing vibration signatures, oil analysis, and motor current signatures.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES








* Troubleshoot screw and centrifugal compressor problems utilizing existing process conditions.
* Oversee and direct the rotating equipment/vibration monitoring program.

* Coordination with maintenance supervisors to develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs on existing equipment (fixed equipment, pumps, safety devices, etc.) based on manufacturer's recommendation or best engineering practices
* Lead or participate as needed in Process Hazard Analysis, Layers of Protection Analysis (LOPA), or other risk assessments
* Write and support the Management of Change process through PHA and PSSR Evaluations
* Lead/participate in incident investigations to identify root causes and corrective recommendations to prevent reoccurrence

REQUIREMENTS







* Degree in Engineering; Mechanical Engineering preferred
* Experience in plant maintenance, of this, 5 years focused on rotating equipment troubleshooting, vibration monitoring, etc.
* Extensive experience with screw and centrifugal compressors and pumps
* In-depth knowledge of compressors, steam turbines and gearboxes
* Experience in providing training to rotating equipment mechanics and operators preferred

Technical Skills







* Familiarity with vibration signature and oil analysis; pump design fundamentals and sizing; and mechanical details of rotating equipment and seal plans
* Basic knowledge of relevant instrumentation and applications on rotating equipment

1 position will report to Engineering Manager along with other degreed engineers, Design Manager, and I&E Manager. The first responsibility is executing projects ($50k to $10M) within the budget and schedule according to internal expectations. General Responsibilities:
The Mechanical Reliability Engineer position has primary responsibility for providing programs and projects to improve equipment reliability, developing maintenance procedures to reduce maintenance cost, addressing emergent equipment issues, and fostering continuous improvement.

Specific Duties:

The Civil/Structural Engineer will work within a multi-discipline team to develop designs for a variety of Substation and Transmission projects. The Civil/Structural Engineer will work with the project team throughout the design and construction process, adapting civil structural plans according to budget constraints, design factors or client needs.

As our Plant Process Engineer you will control internal processes to manufacture products by defining and analyzing the manufacturing process of both milling and filling operations for improvement in quality, safety, and efficiency, and creating, improving, and maintaining manufacturing Process Instructions (PI) and salvage/rework integration.

Duties:



* Develop safety procedures to be employed by workers operating equipment or working in close proximity to on-going chemical reactions.
* Troubleshoot problems with chemical manufacturing processes.
* Evaluate chemical equipment and processes to identify ways to optimize performance or to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
* Conduct research to develop new and improved chemical manufacturing processes.
* Determine most effective arrangement of operations such as mixing, crushing, heat transfer, distillation, and drying.
* Perform tests and monitor performance of processes throughout stages of production to determine degree of control over variables such as temperature, density, specific gravity, and pressure.
* Design and plan layout of equipment.
* Prepare estimate of production costs and production progress reports for management.


Required:



* Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering. Industrial and Electrical Engineers with hands-on mechanical & chemical experience will also be considered.
* Good process management, written and verbal communication skills are required along with a high level of initiative.
* Demonstrated strong leadership skills, in project and people management in a continuous improvement environment in the areas of production, safety, quality and Lean manufacturing principles.

Our client, a leader in the Industrial Gases Sector, is looking for a Piping Specialist Lead in the Houston area. This position is responsible for developing safe, fit-for-purpose piping layouts and related project deliverables according to project schedule and budget.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Software
● Prepare 2D plant layouts and plot plans using Microstation in support of projects and proposals.
● Model equipment and piping to develop piping model in SmartPlant 3D (S3D) for conceptual layouts, basic design and detailed design.
● Setup S3D plant and maintain models.
● Develop design-reuse strategies and products.
● Checking model attributes using reports

Leadership
● Provide documents including but not limited to estimates and functional strategy in compliance with the issued work instructions, job aids and bid requirements to support projects and proposals.
● Acquire adequate resources and direct activities of Piping team members to execute project in accordance with project specifications, design parameters, codes, company directives and industry practices.
● Lead large ($500M+) mega projects through all stages of design from concept through to handover to Construction ensuring that (1) all design deliverables reference and comply with the latest codes, standards and specifications and (2) costs remain on or under-budget, identifying and communicating all scope changes and/or schedule issues.
● Lead and document multi-functional model reviews for large ($500M+) mega projects.
● Drive to competitive under budget performance- Identification of variations, scope changes or unbudgeted work.

Communication
● Interface with other functional groups to gather information needed to produce a comprehensive and constructible design package, relay schedule issues and ensure smooth handover to Construction team.

R&D position within the polymer synthesis and development R&D team. The individual in this position is to bring subject matter expertise and leadership to our development and formulation of next generation polymers for coatings applications. Key Technical Responsibilities








* Design and develop new emulsion polymers for coatings, sealant and adhesive applications, monitor technology trends and developments in coatings applications, and identify new technologies for waterborne coatings while exploring feasibility of novel polymer chemistries
* Utilize scientific methodology practices for planning and executing experimental development of new initiatives from early concept to commercialization
* Utilize efficient methodology and sound technical principals to help solve product and manufacturing problems.
