We are looking for a General Manager to support Camp Services in Delta Junction, Alaska. The position will manage 2 sites and will be on a 20 days on / 10 days off schedule.
The company will provide moving stipend, paid apartment and all meals paid!
The ideal candidate will have 'boots on the ground mentality' with a great coaching philosophy and can motivate the team to achieve excellence in delivery.
Description:
The General Manager is responsible to plan, direct, control, organize, coordinate, evaluate and lead the full range of business and operational activities within the camp. The General Manager is accountable for achieving the projects operational, administrative, and financial objectives. This is to be achieved through the application of well-developed skills in: project management, assignment allocation, financial/resource stewardship, partnership building, and leadership in the execution of work.
Responsibilities:
* Manages and directs a multi-disciplined support team supporting the needs of the project.
* Coordinates and ensures the smooth and effective service delivery of functional groups such as food services, accommodations, information management systems, security, transport, facilities management, and various amenity services.
* Proven skills as Leader and Communicator that provides day-to-day liaison with staff to ensure responsive, timely, and effective support to the operations and activities at the project.
* Is proactive in addressing issues and customer service focused.
* Takes action and ownership of policies, procedures and process of the services being provided
* Maintains situational awareness of all tasks, staff, and resources.
* Manages the timely preparation and submission of all internal and external reports and returns.
* Ensures effective orientation, training, coaching and rotation scheduling.
* Monitors the implementation of all functional services to ensure consistent, effective, and quality service.
* Conducts monthly quality audit inspections.
* Assists in the evaluation and development of policies, procedures and processes to enhance the delivery of services for the project.
* Manages budgets and monitors revenues and expenses.
* Resolves customer complaints, able to complete investigations, build action plans and evaluate and adjust accordingly to meet or exceed expectations.
* Actively involved in ensuring all OSHA, Health & Safety polices and procedures are followed by the team, compliant and adhering to government and state regulations as well as Company Policies and Procedures.
* Ensure that the supervisors implement all Quality Management Systems, following through with the Policies and compliances of the Company as directed by Management.
QUALIFICATIONS
* A university degree or college diploma in hotel/accommodation management or other related disciplines is preferred
* A minimum of 5 -10 years' experience managing a remote camp/industrial camp setting
* A minimum of 5-7 years' experience of management within the hospitality or accommodation industry.
* Efficient in Microsoft Office apps, Office 365, MS SharePoint, Payroll software and Online Accommodations Systems
* Experience in POS systems desirable
* Proven ability to analyze revenue reports including forecasting and scheduling
