    * Independently sets-up, operates, maintains and adjusts manufacturing equipment to ensure proper product manufacturing, according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).
    * Weighs and mixes ingredients of various products.
    * Read, comprehend and complete manufacturing paperwork required for batch record processing, including labels, log books and production batch records.
    * Perform the math calculations required for batch processing using the metric system, such as determining loss amounts, process yields and accountabilities and reconciliations.
    * Visually monitor product, perform in-process product sampling/testing and analyze samples for quality.
    * Maintain accurate sampling reports, manufacturing reports, cleaning logs and usage logs to ensure accountability.

    Requirements:
    * A High School diploma or equivalent is required
    * 2 years machine operator/manufacturing and/or mechanical experience
    * GMP experience preferred
    * 1 year mixing experience desired
    * Strong communication skills

    Compensation: $18-$22/hour + depending on experience

    JOB DESCRIPTION:
    Manager of Method Development Team within an Analytical Development department for a leading biopharmaceutical CDMO. Successful applicant will oversee operations relating to platform assessment, transfer, and development of biochemical and analytical chemistry methods supporting biotherapeutic development. In a fast-paced CDMO backdrop, the role will involve direct supervision of 5-10 BS- to PhD-level employees preparing analytical test methods for many different protein drug candidates. Will provide both scientific and administrative leadership over the team, assisting actively with prioritization and internal/external deliverables commitments and timelines.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    * PhD +10 years of industry experience or Masters + 12 years of industry experience.
    * Experienced scientific manager with high competency in the development of biochemical and analytical chemistry methods.
    * Technical expertise and depth with developing and troubleshooting UPLC, HPLC, CE, gel electrophoresis, and ELISA assays required, LCMS preferred.
    * Incorporation of quality by design principles into method development is preferable.
    * Administrative and project leadership needed, as well as effective line management and group operational direction.

    * Develops and validates manufacturing equipment and processes for drug products, taking into consideration problems inherent in the transfer of technology from research to production, from other sites, or within the site.
    * Leads Operational team in the review and approval of associated qualification documentation and execution of equipment acceptance testing.
    * Conducts tests and measurements throughout stages of start-up and production to determine control over applicable variables.
    * Leads technical improvement projects aimed at defect reduction, improved equipment reliability, and better equipment utilization.

    Organizational Relationship:
    Individuals will work within a multidisciplinary project team and/or active manufacturing operations team. The teams will include other area engineers, contract engineering and automation firms, area shop floor operators, Drug Product Technology, Quality Operations, Microbiology, Environmental Health and Safety, Quality Laboratories, and Maintenance.
