    JOB SUMMARY
    Perform and document inspection checks, tests or results of aerospace parts in accordance with company documented procedures. Inspection areas include receiving, in-process, final, or shipping inspection.

    Pay Rate: $35 hourly
    Shift: 12:00 AM Hours: 8:00am to 5:00pm

    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES % OF TIME
    50% - GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
    *Record and document each inspection process in accordance with company documented procedures.
    *Create rejection reports for non-conforming parts.
    *Perform and validate First Article Inspections per AS9102 or Customer's specification.
    *Ensure test equipment is within the adequate calibration status period for all measurement equipment and is conformed to the company's preventive maintenance program.
    *Must comply to the company documented Quality System and AS9100 standards.
    *Periodically rotate to other functions performing required quality control activities to support business needs, this may require travel to remote locations.
    At time of shipment, verify configuration control and serial number accounting.

    25% - MECHANICAL INSPECTION:
    *Performs mechanical inspections on subassemblies or finished products to Engineering drawing and cosmetic requirements using standard measurement tools or tooling and visual assessment.
    *Performs and conducts visual inspections, verification of components, subassemblies or finished products to Engineering drawings by confirming specifications and measurement tests.

    25% - ELECTRICAL INSPECTION:
    *Inspect in-process and final parts and assemblies as they are built by Manufacturing.
    *Perform electrical and/or mechanical function testing per Acceptance Test Procedures, as applicable

    * Reading, understanding and adhering to appropriate company and department policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance, safe and productive workplace and quality products and customer service.

    Who we are looking for:
    * 2+ of machining operations experience MANDATORY
    * Someone who is skilled in setting up and operating Machine Shop Machines (lathes, mills, grinding machines, bandsaw, dress press, etc.)
    * Someone who can Program, Setup and Operate CNC Milling Machine and Wire EDM is highly desired
    * Someone who can speak English and Spanish highly desired
    * Someone who can communicate effectively in written and oral language
    * Someone who has knowledge of Basic Shop Math
    * Someone who can stand for long periods of time (as much as 7 - 10 hours)

    Position Summary
    Experienced in electronic assembly and hand soldering of standard mil-spec and high stranded wire cable assemblies, connectors, wired enclosures and interconnect devices for military and or aerospace applications.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities
    Perform first article, in-process and final inspection of military cable assemblies, wire harnesses, connectors and wired enclosures.
    Perform inspection to verify compliance of product manufactured to print.
    Ability to inspect molded parts including flex tests and hardness
    Using automated test equipment and perform manual DWV and IR testing.
    Working knowledge IPC-A-620 and J-STD-001.
    Experience with soldering and crimping
    Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, parts lists, Bill of Materials, schematics/wire lists, inspection instructions, workmanship standards, process and test specifications.
    Be able to perform inspection functions using a microscope and or magnification lights.
    Compile special material / test data packages when required by our customers.
    Be familiar with writing Non-Conforming Material Reports.
    Perform audits of calibrated equipment and date sensitive material for compliance.
    Ability to use precision measuring devices (calipers, micrometers, tape measures, dial indicators, height gauges, multi-meters & pull testers (contact retention testing).

    Education/ Qualifications
    High School or GED
    A minimum of two (3) years' experience with inspecting and/or working with connectors, electric cables and harnesses.
    Computer knowledge is recommended for Microsoft Outlook, Excel & Word.
    Ability to priorities and work in a team setting

    Physical Demands:
    Light lifting, up to 25 lbs. and the performance of job duties that requires seating down for a long period of time.
    Must be able to perform repetitive hand movements.
    Employee must be able to work in a fast-paced environment to meet production schedules and quality requirements.
