    Westminster based company is seeking a buyer. This is a contract position,

    Essential Functions:
    1.Procures plant supplies, other direct materials, services, and equipment while employing the most effective cost control methods possible.
    2.Administers and manages purchase orders and delivery commitments to designated suppliers as necessary to support multiple plant requirements.
    3.May maintain insurance certificates and global contract information for plant/legal review.
    4.May maintain minority vendor accounting for corporate reporting.
    5.Maintains the file maintenance system for accurate data.
    6.Assures tax flag is correct on purchase orders.
    7.Coordinates with plants concerning availability of parts for shipment.
    8.Accesses, inputs, and retrieves information from the computer.
    9.Reviews, interprets, and communicates material demand forecast and manages capacity planning for assigned commodity groups and/or supplier relationships.
    10.Supports engineering change order activity with suppliers and other functional groups.
    11.Maintain supplier pricing files and internal communication systems to ensure pricing is accurate.
    12.Produces open order reports to ensure delivery/receipt of product/goods.
    13.Engages with plant and accounting to correct payment issues.
    14.Originates accurate and complete records of all purchasing transactions and reviews efficiency and economy of the purchasing function on a current basis.
    15.May review and maintain inventory levels in storeroom by reviewing usage of procured products in an effort to reduce stocked inventory levels.
    16.May review and update manufacturer part numbers to make required changes in an effort to unify criteria between plants for excess, obsolete, and overstocked parts within every plant's storeroom.
    17.Establishes and maintains an employee relations climate of trust and confidence that will discourage third party interference or establishes and maintains an employee relations climate of trust and confidence with employees, their union stewards and representatives which will promote achievement of plant and company goals.
    18.Maintains positive relations with local bargaining unit ensuring a high level of productivity (if applicable).
    19.Initiates, reviews, masters, and follows all standard operating procedures (SOPs) for area of responsibility.
    20.Establishes and maintains effective work relationships within the department, the division, the group, and the company. Includes ability to handle stress and to interact with others so as to establish and maintain a positive and productive work environment and minimize personal conflicts

    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
    *Job related experience for 2 year(s) minimum
    *Working knowledge of the following areas:
    business principles
    legal practices
    customer needs and requirements
    purchasing principles and practices
    company manufacturing products, practices, nomenclature, and procedures
    *Ability to apply independent evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard purchasing techniques, procedures, and criteria.
    *Ability to operate and functionally use a computer.
    *Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
    *Must be able to handle sensitive related and proprietary information in a confidential manner.
    *Performs such individual assignments as management may direct.
    *Must follow company policies, procedures, practices..
    *Must maintain professional competence, ethical integrity, knowledge, and skills.

    What you'll be doing:
    *Defining the required purchases or deliverables by planning, scheduling, and monitoring the movement of materials, goods, or services throughout the product life cycle
    *Utilizing EPICOR and MRP in the planning, monitoring, and launching of production work orders and outside process orders in support of Operations' objectives, on time customer order fulfillment, and various materials' objectives like inventory optimization
    *Working on a wide variety of complex planning activities where production techniques are new or variable
    *Initiating purchase orders and amendments for parts, services, and/or special tools
    *Planning recent schedules and inventory control parameters for products and services, consistent with requirements or as arranged with requisition
    *Working from engineering plans and production specifications to establish production schedules, labor loading and capacity requirements
    *Arranging for submission and inspection of products as required and assures timely execution of products and service sourcing activities
    *Rescheduling in case of design changes, labor and material shortages, backlogs and other interruptions
    *Other responsibilities as assigned

    The skills we are looking for:
    *5 - 7 years of relevant experience in Planning/Procurement
    *Post - secondary degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience
    *Knowledge of procurement/planning best practices and experience with managing tight development program deadlines in aerospace/manufacturing environment and Experience in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
    *Highly organized with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
    *Aptitude to solve complex problems and exercise sound judgement on the analysis of multiple sources of information
    *Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), with ability to drive tasks to completion
    *Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and database management tools
