Full Time Advanced QA Inspector

What is the job?

* Product release activity (a distinct verification conducted independent from final inspection to ensure customer purchase order requirements as well as all customer requirements have been met before authorizing shipment of products)

* Ensure that the FAIR (First Article Inspection Report) has been approved by the customer

* Understand and validate specifications and requirements from drawings, PO's, internal/external specifications

* Verify compliance with the customer s requirements

* Verify supplier documentation

* Check documentation (from Purchase Order to Certificate of Conformity)

* Visual inspection (marking, appearance, condition) as allowed by customer

* Check dimensional characteristics using precision measurement equipment/devices and/or perform visual inspection (marking, appearance, condition) as defined by customer

* Generate inspection reports and moderate computer knowledge

* Initiate and complete all applicable forms and documentation including Customer related documents.

* Maintains a safe and clean work environment by following guidelines and procedures, and complying with all applicable regulations

* Full understanding of the following: military specifications, ANSI Z1.4 sampling plan, Source inspections (as needed)

* System knowledge of SAP, TME and Fusion (as needed)

* In-depth Knowledge of GD&T

* Interpret and full understand of Customer/Contract requirements

* Coordinate customer/government source inspection and DCMA lot submission

* Generate "Certification of Conformance" (as required) and all related/supported required documents

* Submittal of WAWF (as needed)

* DQR Training to be performed and approved by the customer prior to assuming the DQR duties

* Approved DQR is required to attend refresher training to ensure continued DQR

What you bring to the job?

* Minimum of (1) one year as an inspector in a related industry and at least (6) six months experience in the applicable customer product and specification requirements

* Knowledge of all relevant technical and quality requirements, demonstrate proficiency with inspection tools and techniques, and have effective writing, communication, and documentation skills

* ISO 9000 or AS9100 experience

* Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written form. Must speak, read, write, and have complete understanding of the English language

* Ability to work with minimal managerial supervision

* Ability to interpret & understand Customer QA contracts

* Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications

* Computer proficient (Microsoft Office, ERP System, and other applications)

* Basic knowledge of SPC

* High school or equivalent (Required)
