2nd Shift Production Supervisors - Assembly



Work Hours: 2:00 PM - 12:00 AM - Monday - Thursday

The Production Supervisor is responsible for meeting production (assembly) schedules in a functional area while maintaining safety and quality standards. These positions are accountable for improving results in order to accomplish objectives and doing so in support of our client's values and appropriate management practices.

Specific Responsibilities:



* Plan operations, utilization of skills and man-hours, material and work flow to assure timely production and quality standards of assigned products

* Organize and assign work and instructs cross-trains and otherwise assists employees in the performance of their work

* Ensure the consistent use of safety devices and personal protective equipment (PPE), supervises departmental housekeeping and maintains constant alert for hazardous conditions and practices. Drive safety ideas and improvements

* Monitor and drive quality measures and implements continuous improvement efforts.

* Provide information and collaborates with other internal groups to effect cost reduction, work simplification, production scheduling and manpower planning

* Participate in and coordinate programs related to employee communications, placement, training and development, orientation, and quality

* Promote positive employee relations through daily, open and direct communications.

* Ensure conformance with company policies, practices and work rules related to attendance and performance



Requirements and Desired Qualifications:



* Bachelor's Degree is required

* Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

* Experience in Lean Manufacturing concepts, quality measurements and OSHA requirements

* Problem solving and conflict management skills.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* Strong initiative and follow through.

* Strong oral and written communications skills required

* Familiarity with Windows-based PC software
