Job Description

Manpower is currently seeking an Accountant for a contract position with a major pipeline client in Calgary, AB.

What will you be doing?



* Responsible for the coordination, preparation, maintenance, and analysis of the General Ledgers

* Support the accounting for the Corporate function's monthly corporate accounting activities and includes preparing and reviewing journal entries, maintaining schedules, completing, and reviewing account reconciliations and analysis

* Identify, research, and implement general ledger process improvements

* Respond to ad hoc queries and analysis requirements in support of the financial reporting processes

* This position is expected to work with significant independence on standard assignments



What will you bring?



* Professional accounting designation

* 5+ years or more accounting/finance related experience

* Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP & Internal Control Principles

* Excellent computer skills including a high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel)

* Outstanding oral and written communication and interpersonal skills combined with a results-oriented business approach

* Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage several project deadlines concurrently;

* Proven team player, demonstrating a high level of cooperation and mutual respect
