Job Description

Manpower Engineering is looking for an Assistant Maintenance Manager for our client in client in Bardstown, KY. Direct/perm, salaried position.



Summary of what you'd be doing:





* Will be managing 3 Group Leads (one on each shift), each with 4 to 6 Maintenance Techs under them. Must be a strong and patient leader who can be clear/precise on directions.



* Will be performing technical troubleshooting. Must have PLC experience



* Lots of administrative work to be done (documents, Pareto charts, reports, Excel sheets, monitoring of systems, MTBF, MTTR, downtime calculations, work order reviews, review of PM KPIs. Able to present this information to upper management and corporate.



Here's a summary of who we're seeking:





* Degree not mandatory but would like to see some formal training if not degreed. Skilled Trades journeymen status or certification from trade school, technical college, or apprenticeship preferred.



* Skilled Trades journeymen status or certification from trade school, technical college, or apprenticeship preferred



* Minimum 6 years maintenance experience with at least 2 years' supervisory / leadership experience in manufacturing environment.



* Experience in maintenance and repair operations associated with electrical systems, electronics, fabrication, hydraulics, injection molding, mechanical drives, pneumatics, robotics, stamping, welding, assembly and conveyor systems, and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programming and troubleshooting. PLC experience a must.



* Ability to complete all the administrative task required in this role: Documents, Pareto charts, various reports, Excel sheets, monitoring of systems, MTBF, MTTR, downtime calculations, work order reviews, review of PM KPIs, and be able to present this information to upper management and corporate.



* Automotive industry experience preferred so will have an understanding of JIT. When something goes down, it's "all hands on deck".



* Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, drawings, specifications, and technical instruction manuals.
