What is the job?

* Develop Agile capability in all roles through training, mentoring and coaching.

* Work collaboratively with project/ program/ portfolio/ governance and support teams to provide guidance and coaching in developing the most appropriate and effective Agile approaches and solutions at all phases of the change life-cycle.

* Influence stakeholders and decision makers to encourage advocacy and build an environment where Agile can thrive.

* Build Agile understanding, capability and advocacy, particularly in IT and wider change stakeholder community

* Support stakeholders to effectively apply Agile values & principles to maximize successful Agile adoption, and associated delivery of benefits, in their areas of influence

* Coach and develop stakeholders at all levels in applying Agile principles and practices to achieve the best business outcomes

* Assess projects/programs and portfolios and provide prioritized recommendations for improvements: including team structure; roles; overall change approach; 3rd party engagement; metrics etc

* Provide training, mentoring and coaching to build capability across Agile roles, practices and techniques

* Facilitate effective work breakdown, linking business goals to features, driving incremental value & effective uncertainty management

* Support program/portfolio management to adopt an Agile approach when shaping, planning, tracking and reporting

* Proactively identify constraints impacting project/program/portfolios, provide point coaching solutions and address systemic issues in the wider organization as part of the broader Agile transformation activity

* Work with the Scrum Masters to help develop their capability and depth

* Work with key business stakeholders, particularly the Product Owner to help them to understand the benefits of Agile and the critically of their role in driving incremental delivery of value



What do you need to succeed?

* 5+ years of experience in Agile delivery / transformation / training / coaching and is well versed in a variety of agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, SAFe with the ability to apply the most suitable method for a situation

* Formal coaching experience, certification such as PSM, CSM PMI-ACP, or other Agile coaching certification

* Hands-on experience and previous accountability for transformation and delivery outcomes using Agile practices, working with product teams bridging gaps between Business and Technology

* They will continue to develop their own expertise while coaching, mentoring and supporting colleagues across the business to adopt and effectively apply Agile principles.

* Good understanding of Agile techniques and practices, and a pragmatic approach to applying these in different circumstances

* Ability to devise and deliver training, mentoring and workshop sessions to meet specific education and improvement needs



The ideal profile would be someone who was a ScrumMaster or Agile PM who moved over to the training side of the Agile world. Should have 2+ years in a training role
