Job Description

Manpower is seeking experienced Assemblers for TEMP TO HIRE positions with a manufacturer in the Richmond area.



Sorting and Checking, Inspection, Tool-Related Assembly. Assembles mechanical components according to blueprint, bill of materials chart, and shop order specifications. Mounts, refines and fastens units using mechanical or power hand tools and gauges.



Job Duties



" You will follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to build sub-assemblies and assemblies.



" You will be responsible for visual inspections of material before and after assembly.



" You will use various fixtures, gauges, hand tools and power tools to assemble, adjust, or repair product.



" You will inspect completed assemblies to ensure compliance with quality standards and making necessary adjustments when required in order to meet quality goals.



" You will adhere to company, environmental, health, safety rules and regulations.



" You will provide process and safety improvement ideas.



" You will ensure machines and tools are properly calibrated and perform housekeeping duties as necessary using the principles of 5S+.

" Attention to detail.

" Electronic wiring and assembly skills.



" Ability to build to customized specifications.



" Ability to adhere to safety requirements.



Preferred Qualifications:



" Experience in production, packaging or construction, or equivalent education



" Previous experience with standard operating procedures



" Previous experience with product electrical assembly, maintenance and/or repair



" Basic working knowledge and experience with computers



Must be comfortable standing, reaching and stooping to wire and assemble stand-up units.
