Job Description

Assembly and Wiring Technician - $20.00 / hour



What's in it for You?



* Steady day 10 hour shifts Monday - Thursday or Tuesday - Friday

* $20 / hour + 4% vacation pay

* Overtime may be required

* Long term temporary opportunity



What is the job?



* Usage of various tools, including: Manual/electric/pneumatic and air tools, drill press, press brake, fork truck, jib crane, template/fixtures, hand carts, measuring and testing equipment, storage/packaging materials and prescribed safety equipment.

* Reading and understanding electrical and mechanical drawings

* Dismantling, inspect and document components to be reused.

* Reassemble components from original drawings and documentation previously documented during the dismantling an inspection stage.

* Trouble shooting Mechanical and electrical problems.

* Verbal and written communication to assist QA Test technician.



What do you bring to the role?



* 2 year diploma or equivalent level of education in Electronics Technology or Electrical Engineering required from an accredited institution

* 1 year experience in a mechanical, electrical and/or instrumentation technology

* Familiarity with process and procedures of Statistical Quality Control Methods

* Ability to read and understand complex blueprints, schematics, parts lists, and additional technical materials

* Hand tool experience

* Be organized and pay attention to details

* Strong analytical aptitude and complex problem solving skills

* Effective time management and prioritization skills

* Knowledge and practice of safety precautions related to working with electrical and electronic equipment

* Understanding of the company's and competitor's electrical, electronic and mechanical products

* Effective communicator and interpersonal skills, including excellent oral, written communication, and listening skills
