Job Description
Assistant Controller Responsibilities
* Coordinate and manage invoicing to customers, collection emails, processing of payroll, vendor relationship and bill payment processing.
* Preparation of month end financial statements and manage the monthly closing process including reconciliations
* Coordinate and assist with cash flow management
* Assist with basic HR duties for new hires with regards to new hire documents, compliance and health insurance
* Coordinate all outside audits pertaining to insurance; review annual insurance contracts for savings
* Assist and support the team with tasks and projects that come up
* Keep an ongoing record of tasks and projects and follow up as to timing and completion
* Provide weekly reports to management team
* Supervise part-time bookkeeper
* Prepare job profitability reports and analysis
Desired Experience
* 10+ years of experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper, Accountant or Controller, with knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
* Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field
* Experience with QuickBooks, Excel and Microsoft Office.
* Open to new ideas and change, with the goal of always serving our clients and improving processes.
* Detail oriented, adherence to deadlines, self-directed and able to effectively complete tasks independently.
* Outstanding organization, interpersonal, communication and management skills.
* Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
* The ability to work under the guidance of leaders and alongside other team members to ensure goals are met.
