Job Description

Manpower is hiring a permanent position for Autonomous Maintenance Lead for one of our clients in the Markham area for a large cosmetic company.

The Autonomous Maintenance Lead will play a pivotal role in the rollout and implementation of autonomous maintenance strategies for the site. Using your experience in TPM implementation, the successful candidate will develop the overall AM rollout plan for the site as well as the create systems and training plans to implement the AM tools on the production floor. The successful candidate must be able to build engagement at all levels of the business and promote the loss elimination and AM culture for the site.


* Develop the Autonomous Maintenance rollout plan for the site.

* Create and lead the AM implementation plan and the required resources to support the implementation plan throughout the rollout.

* Create and execute the training material for the AM methodology and AM tools - Defect Handling system, CIL execution, Centerline development, Loss Elimination methodology, etc.

* Execute the AM Project Charter laid out by the Group Leader, while building trainers, facilitators and coaches of AM.

* Train, coach and assess the AM Pillar to build competence, provide continuous guidance and ensure alignment.

* Support in identifying business specific AM related top losses and develop strategies to eliminate these losses by engaging the team to lead loss elimination projects while using the AM Loss Elimination Cycle (6W2H, Base Condition, C&E Testing, Fishbone, Why-Why & Countermeasures).

* Co-ordinate AM Pillar training and execution metrics at the production floor level (Defects fixed, CIL compliance and Centerline compliance).

* Ensure integration and synchronization of AM Pillar activities with other PM activities.

* Establish the AM Pillar and required routines to ensure good and sustainable Pillar governance.

* Drive TPM implementation by supporting and influencing the relevant stakeholders.

* Communicate TPM activities and results to the relevant stakeholders.

* Ensure that TPM implementation impacts on results in line with the market vision and priorities.

* Motivate and empower people through positive attitude and stimulate change from the traditional mindset towards a "Zero Loss Mindset".

* Lead the promotion campaign of AM culture for site.


Education: Minimum Bachelor's degree in an engineering related discipline

Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in plant engineering and/or maintenance; demonstrated experience with TPM tools; experience with predictive maintenance strongly desired. Green/Black Belt Six Sigma an asset
