Our client, an electronics manufacturer in Chatsworth is seeking a Buyer to join their team. As a Buyer, you will be part of the Purchasing Team supporting Production Planning. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in a manufacturing purchasing setting, experience purchasing PCBs, sheet metal and board level components and an APICS Certification is a big plus which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title:  ELECTRONICS BUYER
Location:  CHATSWORTH, CA
Pay Rate:  $73k - $81k/annually

What’s the Job?

• Procurement of electronics components.
• Coordinate with Production Planners and Project Managers.
• Analyze requirements of the commodity, including prelim. specifications, and preferred suppliers.
• Negotiate lowest possible cost of material w/suppliers.
• Interview potential suppliers to determine if they meet specified requirements. 

What’s Needed?

• 5+ years of exp. in a manufacturing purchasing environment.
• APICS certification and huge plus.
• Knowledge of QAD ERP System and advanced Excel, PP & Word.
• At least 3 years exp. purchasing PCBs, sheet metal and electronic components.
• 4-yr. degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
