Buyer TEMP-HIRE Hiring Now!



Our client in Oxnard, CA is looking for a self-driven and detail-oriented Buyer to be responsible for selecting and purchasing quality products for our client's business located in Oxnard, CA

What will you be doing?





* Research, select and purchase quality products and materials.

* Build relationships with suppliers and negotiate with them for the best pricing.

* Process requisitions and update management on status of orders.

* Update inventory and ensure that stock levels are kept at appropriate levels.

* Arrange transport of goods and track orders to ensure timely delivery.

* Analyze market trends and apply this knowledge to make insightful buying decisions.

* Assess vendor/supplier capabilities based on factory audits and performance and make decisions to drive improvement.

* Coordinate with inventory team, management, and stockroom as required.

* Assess quality of stock received and escalate any discrepancies to suppliers and management.

* Assist in SAP clean up and data entry for business units to ensure correct supply chain and procurement process.

* Initiate projects to resource parts and identify/recommend alternate designs and/or manufacturing methods for current parts and new design prototype requests.



What do you bring?





* Buyer role and/or 3+ years of relevant proven experience preferred.

* Bachelor's Degree BA/BS/BFA/BSA in Business, Operations, Supply Chain or Engineering

* MS Office: (Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint). Advanced knowledge of Excel a plus

* Contract negotiation skills

* International buyer experience

* Proficient in appropriate software. (ERP/MRP experience required)

* SAP experience preferred
