Opening for a CAD Designer to work with the Engineering Team. This position will work with all disciplines of the Engineering team to provide conceptual design and drive project options.







Responsibilities / Experience Requirements



This position has CAD Design responsibility for all facilities including:







* Prepare conceptual packaging line layout options to assist in scope development. Similarly, this position will work with Process, Utility, and Facility Engineers to review layout options.

* Will be engaged in high speed beverage manufacturing including prefrom manufacturing, bottle blow molding, filling, labeling, packing, and palletizing. Typical OEMs include Krones, Sidel, KHS, Douglas, ACMI, Intelligrated, etc. A core responsibility will be to create conceptual layouts using templates already available or new templates obtained from OEMs. Experience in designing conveyor layouts is a plus.

* Prepare and participate in Paper-doll exercises with Engineering and Operations to optimize layouts. Referred to as VSED event.

* Provide Packaging Conveyor layouts for bid with conveyor suppliers: preform, air conv, bottle conv, full case, and pallet conveyor.

* Maintain Engineering Documentation on Server: Clean up server, maintain as-built drawings, transfer new documents from sharepoint to server when projects are completed, maintain x-refs of all facilities.

* Maintain Idle Equipment Log: Equipment, Locations, Machine Speeds, Serial #'s, and Pictures

* Maintain Master Equipment List as new lines are added / demoed

* Investigate and recommend optimized solution for project data base (BIM or equivalent?).

* Travel: 10- 15% (Additional travel may be required initially until system understanding is achieved)



Education / Communication Requirements



* Autodesk / AutoCAD Certification a plus.

* 5 to 15 years CAD layout design experience working with similar equipment.

* Proficiency in Microsoft office products and AutoCAD, Visio, Adobe Creative or similar

* Good communication skills with Engineering, Operations, and equipment suppliers.

* Highly motivated, well organized, goal oriented and capable of operating alone.
