What will you be doing?

Responsible for loading, unloading, transporting and delivering material to and from customer sites and back to the lumber yard. Provides excellent customer service, communicates shortages and claims to the Yard Foreman. Conducts pre-trip inspections per DOT standards, maintains the truck and supports company policies and safety procedures at all times.





* Loads merchandise and materials to ensure appropriate weight, composition and placement of the load so that it is balanced, flagged and safe for hauling within DOT guidelines

* Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil & water.



What do you bring?





* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

* · Ability to do basic math, read instructions and complete forms.

* · Knowledge of road restrictions, DOT inspections and load securement requirements.

* · High school diploma or GED

* · 6 months Commercial driving experience preferred, Current CDL license



LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION:





* · Class D, Class B driver's license with air brakes, Class A driver's license

* · Certification as an Articulating Boom Loader a plus

* · Forklift certification

* Must be able to pass MVR report and obtain a DOT medical card.

* Frequently lift, carry, push and pull up to 75lbs.

* Must be able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and reach overhead.

* Must be able to work in all weather conditions
