Job Description

Role and Responsibilities

· Examine work for exactness, neatness and conformance to policies, procedures and customer requirements

· Study and Standardize procedures to improve efficiency

· Maintain conformance to Customer CARE sheets,

· Perform inspection and generate documentation as required

· Use of precision measuring instruments to ensure that parts produced meet quality standards

· Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunction or out of tolerance machining

· Interpret complex engineering drawings and follow written and oral instructions

· Make all required mathematical calculations without assistance

· Working knowledge of blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals and specifications

· Ability to use a sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations and setup requirements

· Responsible for visual and physical quality of the parts being loaded and unloaded

· Ability to identify and replace any broken or worn tools

· Ability to perform setups of previously proven jobs with little instruction

· Examination of raw, in-process and finished materials in order to find defects

· Ensure on-time delivery by meeting established cycle times

· Make recommendations to decrease setup and cycle times

· Achieves thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing a task through concern for all the areas involved

· Ensure quality, assists in reducing costs and continuously improves productivity by accurately tracking job time

· Perform duties during machine cycle time such as inspections, deburring, stamping, general housekeeping and/or machine/tool maintenance

· Willing to enroll and complete any necessary company sponsored offsite training programs

· Performs other duties as directed by Production Manager.

Experience, Requirements and Preferred Skills

· 2 years or more of running CNC equipment or a combination of relevant education and experience in CNC operations

· High School Diploma or Equivalent

· Trade school or relevant certification preferred

· Able to read G-Code

· Knowledge of CAD/CAM Programming

· Able to program, setup and operate a CNC machine with Fanuc controls

· Has capability to read and understand drawings, part specifications and blueprints

· Ability to utilize computer programs for preparation and processing of required paperwork and documentation.

· Ability to read, analyze and interpret written and verbal instruction.
