Position Title: Consultant, Hyperion Integration & Financial Planning
Duration: 6 Months
Work location: Toronto
· WFH? Hybrid plan - 2 days in office (Wed. & Thu.).
WHAT IS THE PROJECT YOU WILL BE WORKING ON? Working on Hyperion system used to forecast financial results. Client is using the "on-premises" version of Hyperion planning only, we are not using the "cloud" version.
Who Will the Candidate Be Working with on a Daily Basis?
- Reporting to the Senior Director
- Collaborating with the existing Analyst
- Working with Forecasters and planners from the Finance support teams.
How You'll Succeed
1. Support the Senior Consultant to drive the Financial Planning process, specifically driver-based forecasting (both revenue & expenses, balance sheet, Treasury metrics, legal entities).
· Financial modelling experience in an Finance, Planning & Analysis environment in a major bank, particularly tor the balance sheet
· A minimum of 2-3 years Hyperion Planning development experience in a banking environment, and a minimum of one year of experience developing Hyperion Planning business rules
2. Work collaboratively with the Central Planning Team and Senior Consultant on general/broad work plans (weekly/monthly/quarterly). Planning is unique and very complex
* Demonstratable experience of performance tuning techniques including block creation, fix parallel and use of templates to alter the natural order of calculation
* Experience with driver-based module techniques including sales funnel conversion, customer behaviour curves and vintage analysis
3. Remain closely aligned with the Data & Technology Management team, understanding how Finance is aligned with its data and technology strategy
* Excellent verbal and written skills to support regular interaction with Finance and Technology teams
4. As a key contributor to the business unit, bring a mindset of continuous improvement to recommend enhancements to business processes in order to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness
* Knowledge of Finance (within the context of a Bank) and/or Treasury functions is a significant asset
* Financial modelling experience in an FP&A environment in a major bank, particularly on the balance sheet
Must Haves:
· A minimum of 2-3 years Hyperion Planning development experience
· A minimum of one year experience developing Hyperion Planning business rules
· Oracle Hyperion Planning certification
· Demonstratable experience of performance tuning techniques including block creation, fix parallel and use of templates to alter the natural order of calculation
· Experience with driver-based module techniques including sales funnel conversion, customer behaviour curves and vintage analysis
· Financial modelling experience in a Finance, Planning & Analysis environment in a major bank, particularly tor the balance sheet.
Nice to have:
· Hyperion Planning development experience in a Financial Institution
· CPA or other Accounting Designation is an asset
