Job Description

We have an immediate need for Contact Tracing Specialists to join our client's team in Appleton! You will be responsible for interviewing, screening, and educating those with infectious diseases to ensure proper treatment and prevention and performing related duties as required.



You will work in a great team environment!



* Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm with flexibility to work evenings, including rotating weekends every 2-3 weeks and holidays when necessary

* Comfortable professional work environment

* 30-40 hours a week

* Must be able to type/data entry while interviewing.

* Hourly pay rate of $20.00



Responsibilities Include:

Interview clients and conduct disease investigations including contact tracing activities in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Provide education to clients including information on treatment, prevention, testing, referrals, and resources as appropriate.

Complete required division and case documentation.

Establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders.

Provide resources and information consistent with policies, procedures and guidance of client

Utilize technology to communicate, document, and access client/case information.

May be asked to coordinate communication, activities and schedules.

Maintain daily contact with client liaison.



Requirements and preferred skills:

High School Diploma or GED req'd

Two years experience in a health care setting in interviewing/counseling patients is preferred.

General knowledge of the various types of infectious diseases, including manner of transmission, symptoms, and methods of treatment.

Strong preference for nurses or other clinical staff.

Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required. The ability to interact professionally with culturally diverse individuals during a time of crisis and distress.

Ability to show empathy to distressed individuals.

Ability to educate individuals and explain technical information to persons of varied educational levels and backgrounds.

Ability to obtain highly personal information in a non-judgmental and professional manner.

Ability to apply investigative techniques.

Writing skills, including ability to prepare case and workload summaries.

Ability to speak, read, and write English.

Bilingual in Spanish or Hmong is preferred.

Knowledge of basic math, including calculation of fractions, decimals and percentages.

Computer skills, including accessing and entering information; maintaining records concerning patients and case investigations.
