Job Description


Responsible for interfacing closely with engineering, networking, and development teams, in addition to interfacing with business leads. Perform the following tasks, using analytical methods to monitor back end system performance:

- Monitor current core services system performance, while maintaining highest possible success in service delivery, leading to identifying system operational requirements for future products/services.

- Assist subject matter experts in identifying and troubleshooting during testing, preparation and launch of new system functionality.

- Identify all budget impacts/changes required for each core service budget.

- Identify systemic issues affecting system performance and create strategies to improve performance.

- Ensure system requirements are documented for changes to products and platforms, by maintaining a close working relationship with IT, Service Delivery, and Engineering departments

- Select appropriate regression test cases to be run for UAT (User Acceptance Testing) end to end performance. Review test results, and work with SMEs to write new test cases for new content.

- Assist in executing UAT.

- Keep abreast of current product developments and trends in areas of expertise.

- Work closely with leadership to develop future strategic solutions to meet business integration and scalability requirements.

- Prepare and present project plans, status reports, cost/benefit analysis and budgets to leadership.

- Assist in developing solutions to unusual and difficult problems. Required Skills and Experience

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, network engineering, information systems or other related field, or equivalent experience.

- Minimum 3 years relevant systems engineering experience with technical background or experience in problem solving to identify, prioritize and communicate technical issues from the end to end perspective.

- Strong communication and organization skills.

- Analytical deep-dive skills where problem root cause is not always apparent.


- Familiarity with telecommunications systems and related back office applications and databases.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Relational databases knowledge and basic Oracle SQL knowledge.

- High levels of interpersonal skills in order to work effectively with others.

- Sound problem solving and analytical ability, where problems are unusual and extremely difficult to root cause.

- High level understanding of the software development life cycle and various development methodologies

- Excellent organizational and planning skills.
