An Associate's Degree with 5-7 years related payroll experience.

Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now - Version 17

Experience navigating ADP HRIS

Experience with ADP Time & Attendance


High level of experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, & Outlook

Strong math skills to calculate payments and deductions

POSITION SUMMARY: Manages the activities of the payroll department in carrying out responsibility for payroll preparation/processing and related responsibilities such as tax reporting, or payroll systems maintenance. Must be able to handle all work with the strictest of confidentiality always.


This position will have the following primary responsibilities:

Functional knowledge of automated payroll configurations, with technical understanding of the required integrations.

Excellent Payroll functional acumen, with proven delivery of payroll solutions across multiple states and business units.

Excellent team led skills including ability to work with the functional/technical team members to document requirements, create functional designs and to provide developers with support.

Excellent knowledge/experience in Payroll solutions and related modules with proven delivery Payroll through full lifecycle from requirements to Payroll deployment and support.

Ability to use and adhere to project methodology.

Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.

Manage and guarantee weekly and bi-weekly disbursement of multi-state payroll, including garnishments and taxes consistent with federal and state wage and hour laws.

Ensure the processing of new hires, transfers, promotions and terminations is accurate and timely.

Critically review and analyze current payroll, benefits, tax and accounting procedures in order to recommend and implement changes leading to best-practice operations

Audit W-4s, GL payroll balance sheets, YTD earnings, etc.

Ensure systems are set-up and updated to reflect our current employee base, including wages, benefits, sick and vacation time in line with contracts (union and non-union).

Manage regular preparation of relevant management reports, including weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports (gross payroll, hours worked, vacation accrual, tax deductions, benefit deductions, etc.)

Maintain sensitive and confidential information regarding company information Adherence to all applicable local, state and federal laws always.Able to professionally and confidentially handle employee information and issues.
