Customer Freight Coordinator
Hours: 8am-5pm, M-F
Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
Position Summary
You will coordinate Sea Logistic shipments such as, opening files, production of internal documentation, updating statuses, assisting and advising customers of arrival, arranging deliveries, processing invoices, dealing with email queries from KN overseas offices & ensuring that excellent standard of data accuracy is maintained.
Your Responsibilities
* Customer care and satisfaction: proactive advice and consultancy, ensuring customer satisfaction
* Shipment management qualification and entry of customer order into operational process and compliant management
* Partner with management and sea logistics operations team for an enhanced customer experience
* Profit maximization - avoid additional costs and expenses due to internal service failure
* Quotation management: qualification of customer inquiries, provide KN quotations and updates, set final selling price with individual adjustments within the given price band and following the national leeway in decision making.
* Customer onboarding: inclusion and transfer of customer requirements into KN systems
* Reporting: refine and review customer requested reports generated form KN systems
Skills & Experience2-3 years of freight forwarding experience preferred
* Knowledge of international business preferred
* Knowledge of domestic and international geography including countries, major cities, and ocean ports preferred
* Basic knowledge of U.S. regulatory laws preferred
* Strong customer service skills
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Organizational skills (ability to prioritize, plan, assign, control)
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
