Job Description

Nature & Objective:

* Maximizing efficiency of drivers to pick up oil, filters and related products by scheduling drivers to pick up from customer/vendors throughout the Maryland, DC and Virginia corridors.

* Ensure safe driving practices to complete pick up efficiently and timely.



Position Qualifications:

* High School education preferred with a minimum of 2-4 year's work experience.

* Must be self-motivated with good communication, organizational skills, ability to exercise discretion when/as needed, good customer service skills and ability to multi-task.

* Prior trucking experience preferred as well as a basic knowledge of DOT rules and regulations. Knowledge of oil, gasoline and diesel logistics industry preferred.

* Knowledge of the Maryland, Virginia and DC area.

* Experience with Microsoft Windows, Excel, and Word is required. Experience with RMA is desired but not required but should have ability to learn new software easily.

* Note: This job is regulated by the Department of Labor. Pre-employment drug testing required. Drug screening can be ongoing and random.



Responsibilities include the following:

* Coordinate and manage the most efficient routes to remain cost effective, combining pick up based on driver routes and timelines. Ability to access all routes, driver and pick up times utilizing RMA software. Good communication skills with drivers.

* Build and maintain relationships with customers to identify opportunities for new services and further expansion of logistics operations.

* Keep records, monitoring drivers' daily logs for error or violations and monitoring driver working hours and truck availability.

* Keep tabs on weather at all drivers' locations to be able to flag potential issues, typically with the aid of RMA or other computer programs/logistics software.

* Serve as a reliable point of contact to balance drivers' health and safety with customer requirements.

* Must be comfortable taking multiple calls and managing routes all day and be highly organized and able to handle high amounts of stress due to unforeseen events with the ability to quickly adjust to managing multiple priorities.

* Works assigned schedule, exhibits regular and predictable attendance and works outside of normal schedule as required meeting workload demands. Performs other related duties as required.
