Job Description

Key Responsibilities

* Work with multi-disciplinary teams to determine root cause and corrective actions

* Understand and disseminate technical information to various levels within the organization

* Technical resource to electrical and instrument crafts/inspectors including training and mentoring

* Lead Management of Change (MOC) activities

* Participate in annual PHA's to identify and mitigate hazards

* Conduct reliability and maintenance systems audits

* Identify and optimize predictive maintenance and reliability programs

* Create technical reports to summarize key risks and drive corrective actions

* Evaluate and maintain electrical and instrument Key Performance Indicators

* Manage small capital projects from concept to implementation

* Technical resource for large capital projects

* Oversight of engineering and construction contractors to ensure safety and quality of installations

* Adherence to Kraton Engineering and Process Industry Standards

Required Skills

* 5-15 years of industrial experience in Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering

* Self-motivated and proven team leader

* Field electrical experience (medium and low voltage power delivery, motors, drives, heat trace, generators, etc.)

* Field instrumentation experience (automated valves, transmitters, PLCs, DCS, etc.)

* ISA, NEC and NFPA design concepts

* OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM) experience

* Process Hazards Analysis (PHA) experience

* Execution of SMRP (Society for Maintenance and Reliability Professionals) concepts

Preferred Skills

* Supervisory training and experience

* Project concept, premise, and economic justification development experience

* Six Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing experience

* Working knowledge of preventative/predictive maintenance programs

* Working knowledge of equipment risk analysis and mitigation

* Root Cause Analysis and/or FMEA experience

* CMMS (preferably SAP)

* Team leadership skills

* Small project management skills (typically <$100k)

Education, Certifications & Licenses

* Bachelor of Science Degree or Technology in Electrical, Instrumentation or Chemical Engineering.
