Job Description
1 System-level design, including block diagrams, specifications, and test requirements.
2 Design new RF, analog, and digital circuitry which meet or exceed provided performance and cost criteria.
3 Design and test new products in accordance with standards that include specifications, design, schedules, and specific task assignments.
4 Contribute to product strategy development and portfolio planning.
5 Participate in all agile ceremonies including release planning, story writing, backlog grooming, and estimating.
6 Benchmark products or technology from competitors.
7 Technical support and sustaining engineering for manufacturing operations in areas of expertise.
8 Technical assistance to sales, customer service and customers as required.
9 Technical assistance to purchasing for vendor or parts selection.
10 Establish clear communication between engineering groups and NPI members to establish an integrated, coherent product and project execution.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
1 BS degree in electrical engineering required, MS degree preferred.
2 Proficient in RF theory, system design, signal management and measurement.
3 Proficient in RF, analog, and digital hardware design techniques, including transmission lines, directional couplers, detectors, amplifiers, LNAs, oscillators, filters, power supplies, microprocessors, and peripherals.
4 Proficient in use of modern circuit simulators (e.g. ADS, AWR, Genesys, LTspice) and high-frequency structure simulators (e.g. HFSS, CST).
5 Proficient in use of PCB design software (e.g. Altium).
6 Proficient in use of RF test equipment (e.g. VNA, spectrum analyzer, signal generator).
7 Ability to give clear technical instruction and direction to other engineers.
