Job Description

Overview:

Our Client is seeking a talented Electrical Engineer with a strong background in PLC and AC drive controls to their team in the Lawrenceville Area! In this vital role, the Electrical Engineer will be responsible performing moderately complex engineering assignments to evaluate, select, order, install, set up, design modifications for, test, troubleshoot, improve the performance of, and establish maintenance procedures for a variety of manufacturing equipment.



Responsibilities:





* Evaluate, select, order, install, and set up equipment used in the manufacture of a variety of diverse products.

* Recommend equipment modifications to improve production efficiencies, manufacturing techniques, and production yields for existing products.

* Coordinate the installation, modification and testing of manufacturing equipment.

* Troubleshoot a variety of moderately complex manufacturing equipment problems.

* Investigate and determine root cause of equipment failures and problems and recommend countermeasures to increase efficiency and reliability of equipment.

* Analyze and identify modifications that can be made to improve equipment performance and reliability.

* Design and fabricate, or arrange for external fabrication of, new and replacement parts.

* Create, write, and modify preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, start up, technician qualification, and other procedures and develop preventive maintenance schedules.

* Conduct research, compile data, and prepare reports and deliver presentations to upper management.

* Prepare training materials and train production and maintenance personnel on the usage and maintenance of equipment.



Requirements:



* BS degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering required.

* 2-4 years engineering experience in manufacturing environment required.

* Experience in a paper coating or converting operation a plus.

* Experience with equipment layout design and utility requirements a plus.

* PLC, HMI, and VFD programming/troubleshooting experience required.

* Familiarity with Siemens PLC and Drive software preferred

* Technical hands-on equipment troubleshooting required.

* Must have strong analytical, problem solving, communication, and presentation skills.

* Strong math, statistical analysis and research skills required.

* Must good project management skills with ability to manage projects start to finish

* Intermediate skills in MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

* Some Experience with CAD software preferred.
