Manpower is currently seeking an Electrical Engineering Technologist for a permanent opportunity with an Oil and Gas client located in Calgary, AB.

What will you be doing?
* Prepare electrical drawings, design packages, manufacturing documents for oilfield control and automation equipment using AutoCAD.
* Build equipment prototypes, create as built electrical and mechanical drawings. Help writing manuals, installation drawings and datasheets for new prototype
* Travel to the equipment locations in the field (USA) to perform emergency maintenance and equipment upgrades.
* Help with the electrical manufacturing and QA of the equipment.
* Provide remote and on location technical support to the operation team regarding hardware issue.
What will you bring?
* Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a diploma in engineering technology.
* 3-5 years of experience designing and building electrical control panels. With 1-3 years of experience working in the oil and gas industry.
* Hands on experience working in a manufacturing or panel building role is a must.
* Electrical design experience is an asset. Previous experience working with and troubleshooting industrial communication networks is an asset (Ethernet, Serial, GSM, etc.).
* Ability to travel 20% of the time to equipment sites in the USA, travel on a short notice might be required for emergency repairs.
Ability to work in a team environment, positive attitude with a passion to learn and grow, ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
