Job Description

The Electrical Mechanical Technician (EMT) works as part of a team responsible for maintaining all electrical and mechanical equipment necessary to operate the facility to produce decorative laminate films. This technician will be assigned to work alone or with a group depending on the job requirements and be an active participant in plant safety. This position will work from a daily schedule, however must be flexible depending on our schedule to meet customer requirements.

Your primary responsibilities…

* Actively involved with safety activities to support positive safety culture.

* Inspect, test and perform preventative maintenance to specified equipment for production or building services.

* Rebuild equipment as necessary, e.g. pumps/rolls/gear-reducers/rotary unions/blowers/choppers/fans/air shafts/clutches.

* Analyze and troubleshoot machinery or process problems as necessary.

* Have a working knowledge of all procedures necessary to perform the following;

* Safety First - Demonstrate/perform a commitment to safety by actively participating in training, working safely, and continuously working to improve the work environment.

* Make determinations on equipment malfunctions, solves problem and recommend solutions for electrical, electronic and mechanical equipment and systems.

* Perform skilled duties on, but not limited to motors, drives, converters, controllers, circuit boards, relays, electronic or electrical components, power distribution systems, lighting, HVAC and general building utility services.

* Plan, layout, estimate and implement minor and major repairs, changes or installations as needed.

* Work from schedules, drawings, schematics, manuals, written and verbal instructions with standard maintenance practices to provide timely service to all departmental equipment.

What we need from you…

* Associates Degree/Certificate: Electro Mechanical Maintenance 2 year program

* Prefer 3+ years experience as a Electro-Mechanical Technician in a manufacturing environment

* Available to work all shifts as needed.

* Demonstrated ability to function as part of a team in a high performance work environment

* Mechanical aptitude

* Able to regularly climb stairs and lift/carry up to 50 pounds

* Forklift certified or ability to obtain certification.
