Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under basic supervision, the Engineering Administrative Assistant performs a variety of responsible administrative, technical support and engineering duties, using knowledge of the operations. The Engineering Administrative Assistant supports the Engineering team and production by performing standard engineering tasks, prioritized and completed in a timely manner. They are the liaison between the Engineering department and all other internal production departments.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

▪ Create production releases for manufacturing by job and device.

▪ Review designed production releases for accuracy; ensure all required parts are released accordingly for fabrication.

▪ Use Solid works to break down equipment models into bills of materials and production releases.

▪ Use AutoCad drawings to extract standard parts and bills of materials.

▪ Coordinate production schedules and releases with engineers and Project managers.

▪ Assist Shipping and Crating department in locating missing parts; if part was not fabricated, ensure instruction is given to initiate fabrication.

▪ Produce drawing packages for installation or site support.

▪ Conduct activities in a safe and healthy manner and work in accordance with established safety and company requirements, including required PPE



KNOWLEDGE/ SKILL/ ABILITY/ EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:

▪ High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)..

▪ 2-4 years of experience in an administrative function preferred.

▪ Previous experience in a manufacturing environment a plus.

▪ Must have a positive attitude and cooperate well.

▪ Excellent computer skills and a basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows based programs are required.

▪ Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment is required.

▪ Must be able to work in a collaborative process.

▪ Excellent organization and planning skills.

▪ Must be responsible and reliable.

▪ Requires a strong ability to multi-task and flexibility to learn and accept other duties.

▪ Excellent communication skills; both oral and written is required.

▪ Basic math skills and problem-solving skills are required.

▪ Experience using AutoCAD software highly desired.

▪ Ability to work flexible hours with some weekend and holiday work required
