Job Description
Manpower Engineering is seeking an Engineering Technician for our client in Carmel, IN. Contract-to-perm. 2nd shift, M-F, 3:30pm - 12am
What you'll be doing:
* Support the day-to-day operations of the production floor focused on finished assembly processes, including troubleshooting assembly issues such as component fit, leak test or other potential quality problems
* Create visual/process instructions
* Develop an intimate knowledge of company products
* Act as the first line of troubleshooting for customer, quality and process issues
* Identify and assist with the implementation of quality procedures and error proofing
* Work with supervisor to design and implement process and quality improvements
* Identify and implement cost savings projects
* Perform quality and process audits
* Assist in the development of quality and process documents
* Performing calibration of equipment used in the assembly operations
* Perform other duties as assigned
Here's who we are seeking:
* Technical Associates degree from two-year college or technical school; 2-5 years' related experience and/or training; or recent graduate with a 4-year Engineering Technology Degree
* Experience with AutoCAD or similar CAD software
* Experience with the creation of PM's, Visual/Process Instructions, Process Flow Charts, Control Plans, and FMEA's
* Experience with Lean Manufacturing concepts preferred
* Experience in automotive supply chain preferred
