Fibreline Manager - $160k - $175k per year - Crofton, BC



Are you a seasoned paper and pulp operational leader looking to make your next great career move? Our client in Crofton, BC has an exciting opportunity for a Fibreline Manager to join their team.

What will you be doing?



* Complete operational accountability for the Kraft Pulp mill complex.

* Responsible for profit and loss of all operational functions of the Fibreline, as well as Safety, Environment and monitoring or daily production.

* Direct the optimization of assets to maximize production, quality assurance, and machine operational performance, while minimizing cost.

* Creation of daily, weekly and monthly KPI, Lost Production and Quality Incident Reports.

* Determine root causes and ensure preventative measures institutes are successful in addressing issues.

* Coordinate with the Maintenance Department for the most effective scheduling and execution of preventative and predictive maintenance work for various departments.

* Ensure all employees adhere to mill rules for safety and environmental compliance.

* Ensure proper investigation and reporting of all safety and environmental incidents in departments and set appropriate preventative measures.

* Submit and administer budget requirements of the departments supervised, be aware of costs and take necessary action to keep costs in line with standards.

* Act as a member of the Plant and other relevant Committees.

* Collaborate with sales in new grade development or profit opportunities.

* Other duties as required.



What do you bring to this role?



* University degree in Business, Engineering or Chemistry is required.

* 8 to 10 years' related operational experience is required.

* Prior experience in a pulp and paper manufacturing mill is required.

* Able to be available and on call outside of working hours.

* Strong analytical, problem solving, and leadership skills.

* Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).

* Strong business financial acumen.

* Unionized experience is an asset.
