Job Description
Responsible for managing and directing all operations activity in the Forging Department, including but not limited to: budget control, cost control, capacity planning, equipment efficiencies, product maturity and human resource planning.
Responsibilities:

* Establishing and maintaining production procedures to maintain high standard of manufacturing operations, product quality, reliability, and safety.
* Planning, analyzing, prioritizing, coordinating and facilitating all Lean efforts within operations.
* Developing and implementing cost reduction programs by process development and cost reduction programs.
* Define and implement reporting systems, including quality related costs, complaints, error development, trends, etc.
* Monitoring and communicating to the manufacturing team all department metrics including on-time performance, fulfilment rate, safety, productivity and customer returns.
* Ensure strategic development of operations are in accordance with company Long Term Strategies.
* Employee Leadership and development; Supervising the work of supervisor, Project Directors and contributing to their professional development; Oversees customer projects, processes and performance reports, data and analysis.
* Contact for customers (series production)
* Assist with: Planning of serial production starts/machines/forming lines and the development of new parts.
* Hiring and firing of the team members based on the approved headcounts and based on the performance.
Location and Commitments
* Monday - Friday, Onsite Columbus, OH
* Permanent, Full Time, Salaried Pos.
* Overtime, Alternate Shifts, and Weekends may b necessary for business needs.
Candidate Requirements
* 3-7 Years of Leadership experience
* Experienced in forging or metal forming.
