Job Description
Our client, a well-known multinational company that produces fire, HVAC, and security equipment for buildings, is seeking Forklift Operators/Material Handlers to join their team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be part of the team receiving supplies, materials and equipment to and from areas in the plant. Ideal candidates will have a great attitude, good communication, and ability to work well in a team environment which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Forklift Operator/Material Handler
Location: Wichita, KS
Pay: $16-$17.25 per hour
What’s the Job?
- Manage the loading and unloading of trucks including using forklift.
- Safely move material between the dock, warehouse and/or manufacturing areas. Make sure all physical moves are properly and timely recorded within the SAP Warehouse Management System.
- Receive, count, visually inspect, and verify part numbers on material and equipment.
- Monitor assigned Queue for requested material from production and report any discrepancies to the Supervisor, lead person.
- Perform maintenance if assigned by Supervisor.
- Inventory count
- Quality control
What’s Needed? - Steel toe shoes
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to stand, stoop, squat, bend, and lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to use basic hand tools and read/interpret blueprints
- Ability to understand, read and communicate in English
