Job Description

Job Position: Production Forklift Operator / Material Handler

SHIFT SCHEDULE : Monday - Friday 08:00 AM to 04:30 PM

PAY: $18.00/ hour


The primary responsibilities of the Production forklift operator /Material Handler include loading and offloading products from the trucks, getting deliveries ready for shipment and maintaining product and supplies inventory and helping to run the production lines and dump product into the product hopper.


1.Loading and Offloading product from trucks using a forklift or a pallet jack with efficiency

2.Ensure all the product in the warehouse is correctly

3.Maintain inventory for all raw material, finished goods, WIP goods and supplies and provide them to the supervisor weekly.

4.Ensure all the pallets of product are weighed and wrapped and have pallet tags and ready for shipment according to schedule.

5.Ensure the cold storage is organized at all times and arranged according to the production schedule

6.Ensure FIFO (First in and First out) is being followed for all products (Raw material, Finished goods and Supplies)

7.Connect barrel dumper on a forklift and dump product into totes.

8.Ensure warehouse area is neat and clean and organized at all times.

9.Ensure all the forklifts and high stacker are charged at all times.

10.Follow instruction provided by Production Lead and Production Supervisor

11.Level the product filled into the trays

12.Load product filled trays onto the trolleys

13.Offload Freeze Dried product from the trays on the trolleys into bags or on the equipment.

14.Carries or hand trucks supplies to work stations.

15.Feed product into processing machines

16.Follow all safety rules and GMP's (Good Manufacturing Practices)

17.PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) need to be worn at all times

18.Work with the production lines according to the instructions provided by the supervisors

19.Ensure all the product transferred from the production lines to the warehouse has been verified for the weights and the amount of cases transferred


●Forklift certified - Minimum 2 years of experience

●Ability to operate a high stacker and scissor lift.

●Good Safety record

●Ability to correctly count and maintain product and supplies inventory.

●Trained on using a pallet wrapper

●Ability to manage time, multitask, problem solve and work under pressure

●Excellent communication skills, oral and written English, bilingual is a plus

●Ability to build and maintain effective and respectful working relationships with diverse team members.

●Ability to work collectively in a team, and follow instructions provided by Team Leads and Production Supervisor.

●Correctness and attention to detail

●Understands Food Safety and follows GMP's (Good Manufacturing Practices)

Work Environment:

The Material Handler will work in a food processing environment. The employee will be required to sit, stand and bend for long periods of time. The employee will be required to lift objects weighing generally no more than 50 pounds.
