Job Description

This position reports to the Director of Human Resources.

Mainly responsible for providing administrative support for traditional human resources operations such as personnel record keeping, case management for Workers Compensation, new hire orientations, time and attendance tracking, FMLA and other benefit coordination, as well as training documentation for our ISO certification. The HR Assistant is also responsible for reception of visitors and serves as the primary switchboard operator, as well as assisting customer service with incoming customer calls. Will act as coordinator for employee welfare events such as our Wellness Program and Social Committee. Also provide occasional clerical support for the President of the Company.

This position may also be asked to backup/assist purchasing and manufacturing operations with various admin duties or projects.

This is a small company, so the person in this position may also be asked to assist or backup any office employees in any department, or pick up additional administrative duties as required. So you must be flexible!

This position requires a basic knowledge of HR administrative duties as well as clerical skills to perform typing, filing, report writing and provide excellent communications both internally and externally. Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel a must. Proficiency with Lotus Notes, and AS400 production software is a plus, as well as experience in a manufacturing environment. Discretion with sensitive materials and complete adherence to HIPAA regulations and other privacy practices is paramount.
