HR Coordinator - $80k to $85k per year

What are the job responsibilities?



* Reporting to the Director of HR, the HR Coordinator supports daily HR functions of the plant including: union labour relations, policies and procedures, recruitment and training, compensation and benefits, health and safety, performance management, and diversity and inclusion.

* Be a champion for the company's values, contributing to a culture of integrity, responsibility, innovation and continuous improvement.

* Actively participate in talent acquisition process, including passive sourcing, posting ads and screening applications, conducting pre-screening interviews, reference checks, and preparing notes for upper management.

* Provide timely correspondence to applicants throughout recruitment process, and prepare recruiting reports as requested.

* Identify opportunities to streamline processes.

* With assistance of Director of HR, work with union representatives and business agent to resolve employee concerns, relations issues, and resolutions.

* Assist with the Social Club initiative to help cultivate an enjoyable work atmosphere.

* Support with other daily functions of HR, recruitment, and administrative tasks as needed.



What do you bring to the role?



* Bachelor's degree required in Human Resources, Organizational Effectiveness or related field.

* 3+ years HR experience; preferably within a manufacturing environment.

* Union experience is an asset.

* HR Generalist mindset with desire of expanding knowledge of recruitment, benefit and compensation, employee relations, legal compliance, safety, and training and development.

* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to establish trust, credibility and rapport at all levels of the organization.

* Proven ability to be hands on, demonstrate resourcefulness, initiative, results-orientation.

* Possess a continuous improvement and dynamic mindset.

* Experience with Microsoft Office products, ADP and HRIS systems.

* CPHR certification an asset.
