Manpower is currently seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join our clients team in Plymouth, MI!

Primary Job Function:

Provide partnership with the HR Team for plant-wide programs, initiatives, implementation and evaluation of HR processes, programs, procedures, and plans relating to staffing, performance management, HR Compliance, Health & Safety, Training, Colleague Recognition and Morale, Employee Relations and other areas or initiatives as needed. Training and guidance to the Management Team, Departmental Staff, and Colleagues is required.



Principal Duties and Responsibilities Include:

Provides friendly, professional, respectful, and service-oriented HR image at all times. Set an example for our Core Values & Principles and help to instill them into our workforce.

Benefits administration, including New Enrollments, sustaining Bought Vacation and Vacation balances and roll over, STSP, FMLA, daily maintenance, Reconciling of the bills, COBRA Notifications,

Daily administration of the Time and Attendance system, including assessment of points, disciplines and Cost Center changes.

Meet established goals for no payroll errors

Maintains the Evaluation system and monitors pay increases.

Creates & Maintains Colleague Personnel, Medical, and I-9 files.

Assure accident/injury process is being followed, including updating the OSHA log, work area reports, Basic report of Injury and other reports. Coordinate the Return to Work program. Follow up on Actions Items.

Sustain the New Colleague Process, including entering new Colleagues in the HRIS system, New Hire and Benefits orientation.

Standardized Training administration, Training Coordination and delivery of various training programs, record retention and reporting.

Assist with organizing Company events.

Update Company Organization charts.

Recruit highly qualified & excellent team members for all areas of Manufacturing. Meet & exceed established goals in turnover, attendance and safety. Manage the Seasonal labor and suppliers assuring high qualified Seasonal Workforce is in place, selection process is maintained and improved continuously.

Administers internal communications and general postings at respective facility and or program.

Daily and weekly maintenance, audits, and continuous improvement of hourly standardized training program.

Perform a wide range of other assignments in support of the HR Function.



Budgetary Responsibilities:

Minimize expenditures through efficient use of manpower, materials, maintenance and equipment within area of accountability. Assure labor is at budget levels, consistently striving to exceed the budget.



Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

Well developed interpersonal, organization and communication skills. Must be detail and results oriented. Payroll, HRIS, and Benefits administrative experience desired. Proficient in all MS Office modules (Power Point, Excel, Project, etc.). The ability to provide a friendly, professional, service-oriented and union-free environment is essential. Must have a desire and be comfortable working in an automotive manufacturing environment. A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, or related field, is required. Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 3 years of HR generalist experience. Tier 1 manufacturing (non-union) experience is desired.
