Manpower has partnered with an Automotive firm in the Woodstock area that is looking to add to their executive team.
What is the role?
▪ Set the vision, direction, and culture of the HR team by managing individual and team performance expectations and goals, and holding the team accountable to meet and exceed performance targets
▪ Responsible for leading and developing a team of 10 plus
▪ Manages the development and implementation of specific HR talent management and employee engagement strategies and initiatives for the plant that support plant goals
▪ Understand business goals and recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to affect continual improvements in business objectives, productivity, and development of HR within the company
▪ Deliver results in a fast-paced environment with a high volume workload supporting HR functions and operations leadership
▪ Set goals and objective by developing and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with company goals and objectives
▪ Identify and communication KPI's for the HR team, data analysis and reporting to determine the organization's most critical areas for operational development and improvement
▪ Partners with Executive Team, Managers and Leaders to implement policies and procedures
▪ Innovate HR solutions and process improvements using Kaizen methods
▪ Analyze wage, salary reports and data to determine competitive compensation plan.
▪ Writes directives advising department managers of company policy regarding equal employment opportunities, compensation, and team member benefits
▪ Provides counsel on team member and labor relations issues
What do you bring to the role?
* Diploma/Degree from College or University; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
* Member of HRPAO, maintain CHRP designation through HR educational events
* Human Resource Management (HRM) Certificate
* 5 years of experience working in an Human Resource Managerial role
* Experience working with Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS)
* Experience with Labor Laws of Ontario (ESA)
▪ Strong communication, interpersonal and analytic skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
▪ Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations
▪ Ability to effectively listen to team member complaints and resourcefully resolve any issues that arise
▪ Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
▪ Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule
* Must have a valid driver's license, and be able to travel for work when required
