Manufacturing Engineer



1 GENERAL DESCRIPTION:



Develop and implement optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with customer specifications and quality standards. Implement improvements to production processes, methods and controls. Coordinate manufacturing launch for new or revised products.





1 MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:



* Design / improvement / implementation of production processes

* Assurance of quality standards

* Assurance of safety standards

* Process documentation / technical writing

* Time studies, and distance measurements

* Creation of standard work flows, to ensure level loading and optimization of productivity

* Ability to make adjustments & retrofitting of process/machines

* Obtaining of quotes from suppliers

* Support machine maintenance/die maintenance/trim (PM)

* Troubleshooting machine issues

* PLC and programming troubleshooting

* Creation, maintenance, & generation of printed forms such as OIS, PFMEA, and other documentation.

* Knowledge & management of Statistical Process Control (SPC)

* Work with Manufacturing Operations / Quality to monitor metrics & control charts

* Develop manufacturing processes that are compliant to IATF16949 Quality System.

* Perform engineering activities to the appropriate WCM methodologies



3.0 POSITION REQUIREMENTS:





* Education/ Experience:



*



* Technical degree or diploma

* 2-3 years hands on Process Engineering experience

* WCM or Lean Six Sigma experience preferred

* Knowledge of ISO/TS 16949 standards

* Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems

* Knowledge of Monitoring Equipment

* Knowledge of PLC programming

* Ability to operate and adjust robotics

* Working knowledge of industrial processes, machines, and their operating procedures

* Ability to handle PPAP's, die run offs, work with vendors

* Ability to train operators on equipment and processes

* Proficiency in AutoCAD, Blueprint reading

* Working knowledge of SPC

* Microsoft Office Applications

* Research, data mining

* Fluent in English

* Ability to speak Spanish or Italian is a plus
