HVAC Technician



* Job Description Summary



The HVAC Technician will be responsible for all building systems to the building assigned. The HVAC Technician will lead the activities of site maintenance personnel and outside contractors to liaison to the client, property management and outside vendors ensuring that facility maintenance services are provided. The Lead Engineer reports to the Chief Engineer and will assist as requested.

Responsible for the overall operation of the engineering functions within the facilities. These duties include but are not limited to the installation, repair and maintenance of the facility equipment; CHILLERS. The oversight and upkeep but not limited to: Critical Environmental Support Systems/Data Centers, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Electronic Equipment, UPS and Generator Systems.

Responsible for the implementation and documentation of site safety plans and all Cushman and Wakefield operational standards and guidelines as well as site specific standards, policies and procedures relating to the engineering department. These activities align with management agreements, client requirements and Cushman & Wakefield mission, principles and expertise to grow a unified, engaged and responsible corporate culture that leverages best practices within the Facility Management fields.



Job Description:

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

Building Systems

o Assist with planning and implement predictive and preventive maintenance program and review / monitor effectiveness to maximize efficiency and minimize maintenance and energy costs including inspections/repairs as mandated by local municipalities and per building/client requirements on fire suppression and sprinkler systems, fire extinguishers backflow prevention device testing and HVAC systems



QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

o Experience in critical environments maintenance is required

o Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS)

o Proven ability to organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously

o Exemplary customer service skills with a keen focus on client relations

o Strong leadership, interpersonal skills and the demonstrated ability to build strong teams from diverse backgrounds

o Minimum five (5) years of working experience in facility/property management

o Experience in managing term contractors and minor project works

o Excellent analytical skills with problem solving aptitude

o PC literacy - Knowledge of spreadsheets, database, scheduling programs, Microsoft Office, Outlook, Work Order System
