Job Description

Manpower is looking for Herbicide Applicator to work for a seasonal role for one of our clients to start immediately.

What is the job?



* Sets-up and operates hand and power spray equipment to spray, dust, and/or spread various chemicals and other designated materials including pesticides, herbicides, soil sterilant, grass killer, hormones, fertilizers, seeds, and specified soil amendments.

* Maintains work area, chemical storage area, and equipment in a condition that promotes good safety practices and in compliance with OSHA, Structural Pest Control Commission, and ASU Risk Management.

* Schedules and coordinates regularly scheduled pest control activities and responds to trouble calls, serves as a front-line representative between Facilities Management and users regarding pest management issues.

* Assists in preparing pest control estimates for contractor bids and service work orders.

* Assists in training grounds staff in pest and weed control safety and in fertilizer use applications.

* Maintains equipment and tools used in chemical application and sends out for service as required.

* Acquires and stores pesticide solutions, mixes or dilutes specified chemicals or materials according to directions and applies them at the recommended rate.

* Inspects indoor and outdoor areas and recommends extermination and pest control methods.

* Instructs helpers, as required, in applying sprays, dusts, and other materials.

* Installs, adjusts, and performs minor repairs on application equipment.

* Monitor's bat and bird activity on the facility and removes as appropriate.

* Schedule's pest and weed controls.

* May assist in the upkeep of the grounds.

* Other duties as assigned



What do you bring to the job?



* High school diploma or equivalent is a must

* Two (2) years of chemical applications experience and possession of a current Pesticide Applicator License is an asset

* Proficient in relevant computer applications like Microsoft Office Suites.

* Superior listening, verbal, and written communication skills

* Strong hold of communication skills in English

* Posses a valid class 5 drivers license

* Posses a valid first aid training certificate

* Able to provide drivers abstract

* Able to pass background checks is needed

* Will start immediately
