Job Description

Manpower Engineering is partnering with a very successful and growing medical device company that is currently hiring for a Human Resources Manager to join their talented team.

* Lead and facilitate all local recruitment efforts for the local Office/Manufacturing Facility

* Partner with established Recruiters, Contract Labor vendors and job boards to source for staff openings

* Ensure the successful onboarding of all new employees into the office/facility

* Participate as a key-member of the company Safety Committee

* Consult legal counsel to ensure that policies comply with federal and state law

* Serve as the primary contact for all benefit related questions

* Serve as counsel to Managers for all performance related questions and concerns

* Oversee all local employee relations/conflict resolution issues

* Work closely with Corporate HR on local salary competitiveness and benchmarking

* Ensure the administration of and adherence to all Corporate wide policies and programs

* Coordinate with Corporate HR on all local training and development programs related to staff and Manager


* Bachelor's Degree in Business/HR with a minimum of 6-10 years' experience in Human Resources Management

* Minimum of 2 years' experience in a manufacturing/Engineering environment

* Medical Device industry experience preferred

* Broad/Well-rounded background as an HR "Generalist"

* Ability to work effectively with all levels of employees from production to executives

* Professional, approachable and team oriented with the ability to foster positive/respectful working relationships

* Familiarity with MN State and local employment laws/resources and market trends

* Excellent knowledge of HR systems, processes, and procedures, including administration of benefits, compensation, and other programs

* Experience in a high growth, fast paced environment

* SPHR or PHR certification and/or other continuing education/certifications in an HR preferred

* Ability to travel quarterly to corporate headquarters on the East Coast

* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
