Job Description

Our manufacturing client 40 minutes NORTH of Barrie, ON is looking to add several LICENSED ELECTRICIANS to their team!

The Role:
  • Read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams, and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts for new and existing installations to define work procedures and guide trouble shooting.
  • Pull wire though conduits and through holes in walls and floors.
  • Install brackets and hangers to support electrical equipment.
  • Identifying and mitigating safety hazards, code violations and other electrical issues
  • Install, replace, and repair lighting fixtures and electrical control and distribution equipment, such as switches, relays, and circuit breaker panels.
  • Splice, join and connect wire to fixtures and components to form circuits.
  • Test continuity of circuits using test equipment to ensure compatibility and safety of system, following installation, replacement, or repair.
  • Troubleshoot and isolate faults in electrical and electronic systems and remove and replace faulty components.
  • Connect electrical power to audio and visual communications equipment, signaling devices and heating and cooling systems.
  • Clean, lubricate, perform preventative maintenance procedures, and accurately log maintenance activities.
  • Stay current on scheduled and assigned PM work orders.
You Bring:
  • licensed Electrician (309A or 442A)
  • Preferred 3-5 year related experience preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • flexibility to work rotational shift (training on straight days for a few months)
