Job Description


The Senior Continuous Improvement Engineer will provide process optimization support that results in cost savings for the organization. This will include developing, evaluating, and optimizing manufacturing processes that result in more efficient operations and yield measurable cost savings that are sustainable.

The Senior Continuous Improvement Engineer will play an active role in decision making and should recommend and direct changes in operating procedures to improve efficiencies.


* Work closely with internal departments (Operations, Manufacturing and Supply Chain) to recommend and direct changes in operating procedures to improve efficiencies.

* Work cross-functionally to develop, maintain, and improve enterprise metrics and reporting tools.

* Develop and recommend changes that will drive manufacturing process improvements.

* Provide support for the development and implementation of process improvements.

* Engage external manufacturers and internal departments to identify cost savings opportunities. Implement solutions that result in measurable and sustainable cost savings.

* Develop key performance indicators and metrics to illuminate manufacturing performance.

* Apply Lean Six Sigma methodologies to execute continuous improvement projects at the manufacturing facility.

* Identify manufacturing process optimization opportunities and work closely with Operations and Engineering to implement improvements.

* Proactively develop and maintain effective working relationships with and between internal departments.


* Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related area. MBA preferred.

* Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (or higher) Certification preferred

* Minimum 3 years' experience in an Industrial Engineering/Continuous Improvement role within a Pharmaceutical or Medical Device company

* Experience in Project Management.

* Knowledge of medical device manufacturing, assembly and packaging machinery, processes and standards.

* Strong business acumen with the ability to quickly grasp issues and understand strategy.

* Proven ability to analyze data and other records and to recognize trends and anomalies.

* Ability to think creatively, highly driven and self-motivated.

* Demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on capacity.

* Capable of working independently and making logical, effective decisions with information provided.

* Expertise with MS Office software.

* Superior analytical, quantitative and organizational skills.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

* Demonstrated ability to perform detail-oriented work.

* Ability to travel up to 25% as needed.
